"50's era gem"

What a great little hotel. All the charm of a 50's era motel updated for the 21st century. It has been upgraded very well. The beds are super comfy, the bathtub is very roomy, great TV with HBO, and free WiFi. Everything you could want in a very convenient location. The staff was super nice, and I was able to check in early. They gave great recommendations on local eating spots. I would definitely stay there again!

"Great service, staff, and room quality"

We stayed here to go to Universal Studios. Overall, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars because of the noise level. Otherwise, the front and help staff are VERY nice, delish pastry from Portos in the morning, happily allowed us to check in extra early, room is very clean, and overall convenient location to most places we went to. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

"Research pays off"

Staying at the Tangerine was a pleasant surprise. Recently took a 5 night trip to LA, the first 2 nights in a less than desirable hotel in Beverly Hills and the remaining 3 nights at Tangerine.

I did a lot of research before deciding on Tangerine and ultimately decided to stay there given its #1 hotel in Burbank spot on Tripadvisor. I was concerned about the parking situation as we had a rental car but parking never turned into an issue. There are only a handful (less than 5) spots in the very front, the remaining spots (maybe 10-15) were in the back. We always parked in the back because it was easier to get in/out. We were never out super late but I am assuming if you got back late, available spots might be sparse. Again, during our stay (Wed-Sat) we never experienced parking issues, and the hotel had no vacancy.

Even though the Tangerine is technically a motel, its service, cleanliness and amenities are of a hotel. Our room was very clean, clean towels, clean bathroom and spacious (2 queens). I did notice that there was a musty/foot smell (we had a carpeted room, 2nd level, #224) in the room but it went away after we opened the windows. Yes, you can actually open your window for fresh air.

There is a nice counter next to the bathroom where you can get ready as someone else showers (would have been nice to have a sink there as well). The shower was really spacious and wide...I've never been in a hotel that had a wide shower like that. Water pressure/temp was also great. Also, there was a lot of shelves in the shower for you to put shampoo/conditioner/etc. I should mention that the toilet is right next to the shower. If you push the shower curtain away from the toilet it wasn't so bad. The faucet in the sink took a bit to get used to as it wasn't a full stream of water, more like a shower head with multiple streams of water (difficult to brush teeth/rinse toothbrush).

Room also had a mini fridge and coffee maker. Each morning there were complimentary pastries in the office as well as hot beverages.

Beds were comfortable but the one bed next to the door had the AC unit right next to it (practically touching the bed). This could result in some cold toes!

Oh, the website says that they offer Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Our room did not have this. Not a big deal but would have been nice.

Free wifi was also great and never went out.

Never got to use the pool as it wasn't very hot outside but it looked nice...and even got to 8' deep! No hot tub though.

Overall, I would recommend the Tangerine if you are in the LA area. It is super close to Jay Leno studio and WB Studios.

"Loved it!"

Absolutely loved the hotel. Everything from the location to the room decor to the toiletries! Beautiful rooms with comfy beds. Awesome Mexican place to eat right next door. Loved the coffee machine in the lobby. Will definitely be using this hotel again!!!!

"Perfect stay if visiting studios"

We stayed during the weekend of the Oscars. It was easy to get down to Hollywood or to Universal. We could of walked to the studio to watch the taping we were in town for. Staff was very nice. Mexican bar/restaurant next door was really fun. Great people!

"Awesome stay"

Love it!!!! Bvlgari toiletries...Porto pastries....gourmet coffee in room and the lobby...close to many attractions....Mexican restaurant next door has great drinks, chips and salsa. So worth it to stay here!!!!

"Great comfort for our 2 night Burbank stay"

I usually save hotel/motel reviews for Trip Advisor, but I'm on a roll lately, so the heck with it.

Needed a place to stay for our two nights left in the LA area, so from reading positive reviews on Trip Advisor, an ideal price, and excellent location, I booked Tangerine.

It's a boutique style motel that was recently redone.

Tangerine provided us with great comfort for our 2 night Burbank stay. Our room was styled with new IKEA type furniture that matched the Tangerine hotel look. Our bed was VERY comfortable. I usually tend to not sleep well when I'm away, however - our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on.

Outside or next door room noise was also non-existent, which was a plus for providing a restful night of sleep.

We loved the fresh baked morning croissants and pastries from Porto's Bakery that were served in the lobby.

The hotel is also conveniently located to Bob Hope Airport. Walking distance to small restaurants/coffee shops. And very close to Universal, Disney, Warner Bros, The Getty, Griffith Observatory, etc.

The only small drawback is the carpeting. I'm not one for hotel carpeting, and replacing the carpeting with laminate wood flooring or bamboo would make this hotel really stand out.

"Picky?"

I’m soooooo picky!! I don’t give easy compliments, especially for hotels....that said, I REALLY LIKE THE TANGERINE!!!! feels super clean, decor is very cool and the shower/tub was large and spotless! More important to me is that the bed covers were soft, comfy and obviously Clean! Highly recommend it and will definitely stay here next time we do Universal Studios.

"The entire staff was wonderful"

Okay, my husband and I stayed at the Tangerine Hotel during June 2013 and I have to say, it was great!

We got into LA early morning (5am) and couldn't find any hotels in the area with vacant rooms...the Tangerine Hotel was our savior! We stayed for two nights in a single queen room for about $140 per night. At first, the price seemed steep but I did a quick search of other hotels in the area and we couldn't get anything below $230-250 a night. YIKES!

We ended up booking our room and went to get breakfast as the check-in time isn't until noon. We called around 8:00a and asked if we could get into our room earlier and to our surprise, our room was ready by 8:30am. We checked in early (no early check in fee was applied) and were surprised by the cleanliness and modern design of our room.

I have to say, I am quite the germaphobe so I was a bit nervous about staying at the Tangerine. Our room was clean, it smelled clean, no dust, no stains on the sheets or the chairs, and most importantly...no stains anywhere in the bathroom!!!! The bathroom was sparkling clean and beautifully stocked with clean towels, Givenchy soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion (I used and loved!).

The bed was comfortable and soft, yet not too soft. We had an air conditioner in our room, which we used as it was quite warm all day in LA. Our room also contained a small fridge, an ironing board, hair dryer, a lock safe box, and an armoire. It was fully stocked with the things that we needed and we were very happy with the service.

Not sure of the gentleman (Kunal)who works during the day is the owner, but he was very nice and welcoming. In fact, the entire staff was wonderful.

I suppose the only negative element of my review would be the lack of parking. The parking lot is incredibly small and you may be required to park on the street if you are staying during a busy weekend.

"Orange you glad you stayed here?"

I love love love this hotel, and stay there as often as I can when visiting LA. You might drive by and think it's a "no-tell motel" drive-in, but you'd be very wrong. Very comfortable rooms - I sleep better in their beds than I do at home. Free wifi, free parking and...my favorite amenity...complimentary pastries from the wonderful Porto's bakery every morning, along with a cappuccino machine. The key, though, is the staff. Friendly, informed and eager to help. Heck, the day guy knows me by name now, and I'm only there every few months, at best! The Tangerine is all juice, no seeds, and has great a-peel!

“The reviews were true”

I book this room based on the reviews and they were right. This place is a hidden gem. The staff was top notch and the location is great. The only concern I had before I booked was parking. Parking onsite is limited, they have a few spaces in front and more in back. Don't worry though, Burbank clears out after 5:00PM and there are plenty of spots on the street in front of the hotel. I only parked on the street once out of three nights

“Great!”

Great little place. Our room was really big and had everything we needed- iron, hair dryer, safe, TV, free internet (it was a bit slow but FREE!) and more importantly a huge and comfortable bed. The staff were always really friendly and helpful, even printing us out directions for the supermarket. The pool was an added bonus, only small but what more do you need? It's a nice neighbourhood with plenty of nice looking places to eat near by. The complimentary pastries were lovely and the hot chocolate from the machine is surprisingly amazing!

“Love it!”

Staff was awesome. Location was convenient and nice. Our stay was very comfortable and our room was CLEAN. I stayed alone with my 10 year old daughter and I felt safe. It's a small hotel with a small pool and parking was tight but I'm glad I choose to stay there-no regrets!

“Sweetest Hidden Gem in Burbank, Highly recommend”

I want to rate this hotel a 10 ! From check in to check out the staff was friendly , rooms are very clean, the best restaurants, juice bars, Starbucks, cafes within 1-3 blocks in walking distance., Warner Bros is 3 blocks away, Universal is a 40 min walk...the best. I did not have a car ( mainly because parking in the LA area is tough and expensive., so walking was essential for me. The pool was very nice. Every morning the hotel had fresh pastries from a local bakery for the guests along with a great hot beverage machine you can have your choice buy simply pushing a button ( Coffee, lattes, Tea, , etc ). Fitness room not on the premises, there is a gym near Starbucks , however they wanted $20 a day. I did a lot of walking in the area for exercise.Very safe area, I was traveling solo visiting my son who lives in the area ... do not think twice , stay at THE TANGERINE. We will stay again if we ever return to the area.

“Great little gem hidden in the middle of Burbank!”

Pros: Cute decor, clean pool, friendly staff, cheap and awesome location!

Cons: Not quite enough parking, one night we had to park behind the nail salon next door and pray we didn't get towed. (We didn't.)

Location: Very close to major studios and Universal theme park. 10 minutes from Hollywood.

I love the Tangerine. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shopping in Burbank like the awesome Magnolia Boulevard and very close to Burbank Studios, Warner Bros Studios, and just down the road from Universal Studios. The rooms are clean and come with fridges, a very nice little touch. Safe off-street parking and easy access to all of the rooms. Beautiful, well-maintained little pool. Fresh pastries in the mornings from across the street at the little organic cafe, and free coffee in the lobby all day. The staff are always friendly and helpful. This is my favorite place to stay in LA by far and I go out of my way to stay here on every West Coast vacation I can. The mexican restaurant next door is DELICIOUS too.

“Quality Excellent Facilities Very good Service Excellent”

I have stayed here a few times on business. It is a great place at a good price. You can hear noise from the road, but it's not distracting. The rooms are modern and well lit, and each of the four rooms I've stayed in we a little bit different.

Very impressed with this hotel. It was the first we had stayed in on our roadtrip to california last month. The rooms were stunning, and very clean, price good when booked via trip advisor, definately worth it, location ok if you have a car, as is anywhere in LA though. Pastries for breakfast and coffee yummy!

“Family Time!”

Our family loved this hotel. The manager accommodated our family by giving us conjoining rooms and my kids loved it. We stayed another night! The staff was very friendly and the hotel was extremely clean and contemporary. It was close to all the sites: Universal Studios, Hollywood, and the beach. Thanks for a wonderful time and stay. We will be back.

“Comfortable and great location”

We stayed here 2 nights while touring the LA area with grandkids. This hotel is very comfortable, nicely decorated, has a friendly, helpful staff and a great warm swimming pool! This is very well located for touring the movie studios, Hollywood and Griffith Park.

“All here”

Great location close to the 134 freeway, cozy boutique hotel close to downtown burbank where we had a wonderful dinner. Recommended for out of state travelers flying into or out of burbank airport or driving through so. cal.

“Absolutely fabulous!”

A stunning make-over of an old, decaying motor hotel (to those who say "It's not a hotel" -- that's what "motel" means : "motor hotel"). The rooms were essentially gutted, and everything replaced -- countertops, fixtures, tub (sorry to see the old enameled cast iron go, but these are a superior fiberglass replacement -- study and deep, with numerous shelves for soap, etc.), carpet, a/c -- the works. Our room was done in the signature tangerine, with matte black furniture, a lime green duvet cover, and sunshine yellow accents. The art work is suitably modern minimalist. The room includes a closet with doors and a dresser, for those staying longer than a night. The air conditioner is a new wall unit that kept the room at just the right temperature.

The pool is in the courtyard with a wooden fence that completely blocks the view from the street. It is 8' deep and nicely heated. The pool area contains a couple of tables with chairs and several loungers.

Bed was amazingly comfortable, and the whole area is as quiet as a small town at night. Towels are thick and plush; toiletries are by Crabtree & Evelyn. The reviewer who wanted a "better quality" of each must move in some rarified circles indeed.

The coffee machine in the lobby dispenses a variety of different beverages, from plain old joe to chai lattes and French vanilla mochas. The complementary pastries -- this is not advertised as nor meant to be a "continental breakfast" -- from Portos were a delicious and welcome surprise. For those who want something more substantial, there is a diner directly across the street and other options a block or two away.

The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. We pulled into the courtyard, to be faced with no parking and the prospect of backing out onto the street. The manager saw us, walked over, and told us to just park in the (empty) handicapped spot while we registered, then gave us directions to the parking in the back.

Plenty of parking in the alley directly behind the hotel. You're unlikely to find a spot in the tiny courtyard lot, so turn at the street before or after the hotel, then into the alley to find plenty of reserved spaces.

Ideally situated for a Hollywood history vacation. It is walking distance to the Warner Brothers studio tour entrance and a short drive NBC and other industry locations.

“Good Value for the Money!””

This is a newly renovated motor hotel in Burbank that we stayed in for 2 nights in late April.

Love all the counter space in the room, air conditioner kept the room really cool and love having a refrigerator. The Mexican restaurant next door is just amazing! Walking to margaritas doesn't get any better! And the food is excellent! Walking is easy everywhere-more restaurants, Falcon Theatre, and free parking. Would stay here anytime again!

“Awesome service and stay!”

Our family of four have just enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Tangerine. The place had a nice feel about it and the service by Kamal, Kelly and team was superb. They were very friendly and welcoming and gave us some good tips on shopping, groceries, driving directions etc.

It's a smaller hotel with 31 rooms and has a small (but warm) pool that our kids enjoyed. There are five car parks out front and more around the back - all free.

There are some really nice restaurants nearby. We went to the Mexican one next door and loved it - very authentic and popular, with great service. We also went to the Thai/Japanese one, about 100 metres away and really enjoyed this too.

The Tangerine provides nice pastries and hot drinks for breakfast - all complimentary. It's also very handy to Universal Studios and Hollywood.

All in all this was a great little place to stay and good value for money. I'd highly recommend it.

Ground floor is best if you have kids - close to pool too.

“Great location. Enjoyable stay.”

Went to Burbank to see family and friends. I grew up a couple blocks from the Tangerine. It had a different name back then.

The rooms are nicely done. The beds are comfortable and the decorations are unique. My wife tells me that the toiletries were top notch. The room was small but nice.
Also the bare floors were a little unnerving at first to me. Bring some flip flops or something.

Didn't have much contact with the staff but when we did, they were very friendly and helpful.

Now to the big reason you should also stay here- location, location, location. The area borders Toluca Lake and is close to all the studios and a short drive to Hollywood. The restaurants are excellent. Don Cuco's is right next door and is outstanding. Bob's Big Boy (the 2nd ever built and the oldest left) is a short walk. The car show at Bob's on Friday nights is a must. The Smoke House is a very short drive away and is fantastic. The area is also extremely safe.

Nice little boutique hotel with some really nice upgrades. We will stay here again.

“Nice place, Great Location”

My wife and I were quite pleased with the three night stay at the Tangerine. We had a king room on the second floor. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were really comfortable and the sheets felt like they were higher quality than most hotels. The pillows, however, seemed a bit lacking in comfort.

The location is fantastic for Warner Brothers Studios, as we were able to walk to both the tour center and Gate #3 for watching a filming all in less than 10 minutes. It is also a 10 minute drive to Universal Studios, and only about 15 minutes to DT Hollywood and surrounding areas.

The Tangerine is a great value in a great location.

Side note: the mexican place, Don Cuco's, immediately next door, is fantastic.

“Family trip to LA”

We traveled to LA for a family trip for 5 days. We had 3 kids 2 teenagers and a 22 month old. The hotel was great for us. The room was a little small but we weren't in it much so it didn't really affect us much. It was in a great location to get to all our spots. From Hollywood, Universal studios, LA Zoo and even Santa Monica. The pool was amazing after a long day of walking it was 89 degrees. My baby loved it :) My boys loved the hot chocolate in the am. They have a machine that has flavored coffee and hot chocolate and they went well with the pastries that they provided in the am. Oh yeah and they also have a filtered water in the lobby that really saved us on buying water while we were out there. We had brought our own water bottles so that was a great little treat. I would recommend this place for sure and when we return to the area we plan to stay again.

“There is a Mexican food place right next door that was a little pricey but some places less then a mile away. Bobs was a great breakfast place and right next to a Starbucks :) Also a Trader Joes close by for snacks but a Walgreens or CVS a little bit way.”

“Nice Hotel, Great Staff”

The location is w/in walking distance of serveral restaurants and markets. We stayed here on a Saturday night, so parking was not a problem. You can take an MTA bus from here to Universal Studios (I believe that it's the 155), and its only about a 15 minute journey. (There is a subway stop at the base of Universal, so this hotel is relatively convenient for that as well. On the subway, you can get to downtown LA, Hollywood & Vine, and other tourist destination.) We took a cab and it was about $10 each way. So if that is on your itnerary, then this would be a great place to stay.

Rooms were comfortable, well appointed and clean. Stayed in an upper room in the corner, so it was quiet. The room had a modern feel w/o being sterile. There is a pool, but it looked pretty small, so if you are looking for a huge pool scene for the kids, then this is probably not the place.

I would like to point out how helpful their staff was. They were more than eager to help w/ directions, restaurant suggestions, printing out maps, etc. Even the cleaning lady was very friendly. Tip of the hat to the staff and the management for being so focused on their customers.

Great place to stay for the money, and I would be happy to stay here again.

“Great Budget Hotel and fantastic customer service”

Stayed at this fabulous hotel for 3 nights and cannot fault it. From the moment we checked in, the service was excellent. We arrived approx 11am and check in isn't till 2pm but Kamal allowed us to check into our room immediately which was really nice of him seeing as we had just flown a 14 hr flight. The room is basic but practical and everything u need for a budget hotel. Bed is comfortable, free tea and coffee 24 hrs, room has a small bar fridge, free Wi-Fi in room (didn't run too slowly for our time we were on it) room cleaned daily with fresh sheets daily and Kelly at reception could not of gone out of her way to help us anymore with any questions regarding the area or printing of maps etc for us, plus making local phone calls and organising a taxi for us. Fantastic customer service! For little more than $100 a night, this place is a gem.

Would highly recommend this hotel and anyone who could find more than 1 fault with this hotel would have to be a whinger, as for what you pay per night for a room you get far more.

“All decked out”

We ended up finding the Tangerine Hotel using Yelp. I ended up going on a small vacation with friends and family and went up to Universal studios. This was one of two hotels I stayed at during the weekend.

When I drove up, I was like wow - this place used to be an old motel... hopefully it's fixed up! We drove in and parked (in their smaller of 2 front parking lot). I checked in, and the lobby is all decked out with new decor. The receptionist was amazing and very friendly.

We walked up to the room opened the door, and we were amazed at how urban the room was. Again - we were expecting an "older motel" feeling. The owners went above and beyond making this place a gem.

To top off the entire stay, they were serving delicious Porto's bakery items from 7a-11am - this was the most amazing part! We ended up Yelping Porto's and we went there twice in 2 days. So glad this hotel used them for their morning breakfast snacks.

The kids loved the pool, and we loved the prices.

A 5 star hotel with 2 star prices! A win win situation for everyone.

“High on quality and a great price.”

If you like staying in Hampton Inns, you will like Tangerine. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and linens, very clean, nice toiletries, excellent pastries and conveniently located.

“Do not think twice”

I want to rate this hotel a 10! From check in to check out the staff was friendly, rooms are very clean, the best restaurants, juice bars, Starbucks, cafes within 1-3 blocks in walking distance. “Awesome hotel”

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it! Beds are comfy, everything's updated and very clean. There's a fridge in the room and the decor is modern and cute. There's a free espresso/coffee machine, tea and a microwave in the lobby 24 hours, and free pastries in the morning from a local bakery. The girl who checked us in was very helpful and nice, offering to give us any info on all the touristy things there are to do. Pool area looks nice and is heated although we never used it. Parking is free and although there are only a few stalls, there is plenty of free street parking. This hotel is close to everything, Universal Studios is a 5 min drive, Warner Bros. Studios is within walking distance, and Hollywood/downtown Los Angeles is a short 10 minute drive. I like that the hotel is close enough to busy LA but far enough away that it's relaxing. On a quiet street next to a Mexican restaurant, Chipotle, and several other restaurants that looked good but we haven't tried. We look forward to staying here on our next trip, this hotel is fantastic.

“Good choice”

In-room was decent and clean, ample free parking spaces available at hotel lobby else other lots are available at the back of the hotel building. Plenty of eateries were available within walking distance from hotel. Comfy bed, speedy free wifi, friendly front office staffs whom provides info like a local ambassador :)

Short driving distance to Universal Studio and other places of interest like Hollywood Walk of Fame

TIP: Check out the racks of brochures from hotel lobby, there is one map which comes intact with some form of coupon so it entitles you some form of discount into some town F&B outlets and attractions including Hard Rock merchandise shop!

Good choice!

“All my essentials”

I really liked this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, with helpful and friendly staff. It had my essentials - a refrigerator and coffee maker and some extras - Porto's pastries and Crabtree and Evelyn soaps and shampoos... And all at a great price. I will definitely stay here again!

“A gem”

“Loved our stay”

Only spent one night in this hotel. Very clean, staff is incredible- they are very very professional and people friendly...I asked for things to do in the surrounding area and the lady in the front desk spent more than 20 minutes with me making sure I got what I wanted!

Rooms are big, decoration is nice, location is good (close to Warner Bros Studios) and the internet works well! Great value for the $$$ as well! Everybody enjoyed their time there (Dad, mum and kid)

“Great stay”

Stayed here for 3 nights with my two children in a second floor room

Pros:

  • Stayed here for 3 nights with my two children in a second floor room
  • relaxing and safe area to stay in, with both easy driving around the area and easy access to the freeway
  • standard motel style room but with cute decor and a nice big bench outside the bathroom so could set everything out nicely
  • free coffee and breakfast pastries in lobby, coffee was really nice
  • very nice quality shampoo, conditioner and soaps - Crabtree and Eveylyn Aloe Vera
  • heated pool which provided a pleasant swim even in January (and a cold January!)
  • parking always available, and easily accessible (most of the spots are behind the motel in an alley rather than in the front so do believe your GPS when it tells you to go there... :D)
  • lady that worked at night was very helpful and friendly, even offered to help us with suitcases up stairs
  • reasonable range of places to eat nearby

Cons:

  • Stayed here for 3 nights with my two children in a second floor room

Would definitely stay here again

“Great little hotel”

After finding that nearly every hotel available in this area requires a daily valet fee, I unexpectedly happened upon the Tangerine in a Trip Advisor review on the sidebar. Cute little place, all reviews were positive, so I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed one bit. This little hotel is spotlessly clean. Every area is nicely kept and so clean. The staff was courteous and helpful; the pastries in the morning were tasty and fresh. Hot drinks are available in the lobby 24/7. The pool area was also sparkly clean. The beds were comfortable, the toiletries were great quality. Free wi-fi. The rooms were decorated nicely. And no valet parking! It was walking distance to the Warner Bros. studios; and the Mexican restaurant next door was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again anytime.

“The Nicest Surprise of Our Road Trip”

We stayed here for 1 night in early May as we were in town to catch the taping of the CONAN show. The hotel is less than 5 minute's drive from the Warner Brother's studios on Forest Lawn.

Both my boyfriend and I were thoroughly impressed with this hotel in almost every aspect.

The check-in lady seemed genuinely nice and accomodated our request for a second floor room even though we booked only hours earlier. The parking's free in the front lot and the back lot. Make sure you get a sign from the front desk to hang on your dash.

The interior of our room was great. The decor was very modern and chic and the room felt very clean-not at all what we would ever expect from a motel-like hotel. Also in the room were a flat-screen TV with HD channels (a first), mini fridge, free wifi, and hairdryer. My favorite part was the Evelyn and Crabtree Toiletries. VERY nice touch.

Another standout plus was the hotel lobby amenities. They had a machine that made various espresso/latte/hot chocolate drinks 24-7. There was also a small TV lounge to park at in case you are waiting to check in. At 7am every morning, the lobby also serves complimentary pastries from a local bakery. These were NOT your Costco bakery items for sure. They were very tasty and seemed definitely of higher quality than the average mass-produced baked goods.

Before we left for the taping, we sat around the pool. The set up was pretty good considering its in the middle of Burbank. The pool was clean and there was quite a few loungers set up if you choose to tan instead.

“Nice Affordable Hotel for a Quick Stay !”

Just in town for one night so it worked out great. Nice and quite and clean plus reasonable. Was an old style motel but they have done a pretty good job of freshening it up.

Room Tip: Pool was nice!

“Nice Bright Tangerine Exterior”

I read previous reviews and thought we'd give the Tangerine a try! We love it! The service is great the rooms clean and the morning pastries a real treat! Even parking was no problem. Good location, great value...you've got to stay here!

“Great Location & Value - Safe and Clean!”

We stayed there 4 nights - 2 parties = 2 rooms. Both rooms very nicely updated and retro and clean! Good service. We enjoyed the small pool area - very comfortable spot to just relax and talk. Superb location - with easy access to just about everything. Good access to restaurants - recommend Don Cuco's mexican next door and Priscilla's Kitchen for light breakfast just 2 blocks away. We'll definitely stay there again!

Do note - there is not a common lobby...so all rooms open to outside. Hey - it's a 60's hotel that has been updated in a classy way. We did not feel unsafe at all!

“Five Stars for:”

Convenience, it is a short car ride from everywhere I needed to be as well as walking distance to a few television studios (it was cool to see the WB studios (the home of Yakko, Wakko and Dot on my drive over there)

Comfort, my room was large with a modern trendy design and had all of the amenities I needed including a variety of Crabtree and Evelyn products

Friendly service, the person who checked us in was extremely nice and very helpful

Delicious breakfast pastries, I normally avoid hotel pastries like the plague but these were very good! The front desk person told us they were baked fresh daily by Porto's Bakery.

“Rooms are Beautiful”

Love this place!! First time here and I'm already excited to come back someday! The facility is newly remodeled. The rooms are all non smoking and beautiful! Stayed in a room with a king size bed. The room is equipped with a flatscreen tv and mordern furniture. Everything is bright and fresh and the beds super comfy. The staff when we checked in was wonderful and was able to direct me to a post office and the town center with extremely accurate directions. Also included is free wifi and a pretty pristine looking pool!

“Beyond Worth It!”

Stayed here for two nights recently and came away very impressed with how everything went. Some of the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered and the boutique room was great. Clean, beautifully decorated and quiet. Parking was easy and free, the Wifi (also free) worked great and good food was in walking distance.

The Tangerine is a gem. For a decently safe location, clean, quiet rooms and all the free amenities available, this place is beyond worth it.

“An absolute gem in the city of Burbank!”

I just passed by it yesterday running errands and had to write a review of this spot. When I lived up in NoCal and came down to visit family and friends in LA but didn't want to intrude as a house guest, I would book stays here at Tangerine. Not only are the prices affordable for extended stays (which was a lot when until I finally moved back to LA), but the play is clean and accessible to many places beyond Burbank!

It's walking distance to many quick eateries to fancy spots such as Morton's steakhouse and McCormick's and Schmicks. Love love it!

I agree the wifi worked perfectly here in the rooms I stayed at, the TV was big and the beds were comfy.

I have recommended people who came into town and had the same reservations like me of not wanting to be a house guest that there is the Tangerine Hotel, and I haven't heard anything negative from them from their own experiences.

Keep up the good work Tangerine hotel!

“Awesome!”

Just simply awesome! If you ever go to Warner Bros, Universal Studios or just kicking it in the Hollywood scene and you're looking for somewhere clean, friendly, comfortable, affordable, cool, and just down right attractive...the Tangerine Hotel is the spot!

It's walking distance from some nice and varied eateries and the atmosphere was great. Lobby's open 24/7 and you can get a free latte at 3:00am to keep you wide awake.
